PBR Velocity Tour

The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) announced that the American Bank Center will host the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour’s (RVT) inaugural event in Corpus Christi, Texas, Saturday, Oct. 14.

The Corpus Christi Chute Out, presented by Frontier Communications, will bring some of the best bull riders in the world to battle the sport’s toughest bovine athletes. The thrilling 8-second rides and heart-stopping wrecks make the PBR’s Velocity Tour one of the world’s most exciting live sporting events.

The bull riding action begins at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 14. Tickets, ranging in price from $17 to $102, go on sale Friday, May 5 to the general public and are available at the American Bank Center Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com, and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Each rider will face one bull in Round 1 before the Top 10 scoring riders of the night will ride once more in the championship round. At the end of the competition, the rider with the highest combined score will be crowned the event champion.

Corpus Christi will be the 30th stop on the 2017 Velocity Tour, which spans the country in cities including Oakland, California; Wichita, Kansas; Dayton, Ohio; Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Albany, New York.

The 2017 Real Time Pain Relief Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 28-30, leading into the PBR’s 2017 Built Ford Tough World Finals. The winner of the Velocity Tour Finals, the second- and third-place finishers, and the top international performer, along with the 2017 Velocity Tour Champion, will each qualify to compete at the PBR World Finals.
